Congratulations! Father Bob and the Parish rejoice with you on the announcement of your engagement. We will walk with you on your journey to one of the most important days in your life: the day on which you begin to live the sacred covenant of Holy Matrimony.
As you plan your wedding at St. Norbert Parish, we remind you that this is a most unique sacrament: it is the only sacrament that you give yourselves. The priest or deacon witnesses your vows and confers the Nuptial Blessing, but you are the true celebrants of the sacrament. Your wedding is a joyous occasion for everyone but it is also a sacred moment for the couple and nothing should detract from the prayerful nature of your celebration.
The first thing you need to do before planning your ceremony is to schedule the date and time of your wedding with the Parish Office. Since the wedding calendar fills up so quickly, we request scheduling your wedding at least six months in advance. You will be assigned a priest who will work with you throughout the marriage preparation and the wedding.
Please note: For your own protection and peace of mind, do not make any other arrangements for your wedding, especially any that have financial considerations (deposits, down payments, etc.) until you are notified that your wedding date has been scheduled in the Church.
Please click on the Wedding Procedures on the menu to review important information that will assist you in planning your wedding ceremony. You will find our parish wedding guide and help with planning your liturgy and music. We invite you to acquaint yourself with the materials and guidelines. They have been prepared so your wedding day is both beautiful and memorable.
