Confirmation is third and final Sacrament of Initiation.
- In Baptism, the first Sacrament of Initiation, we are born into new life in Jesus Christ.
- In the Eucharist, the second Sacrament of Initiation, we celebrate the real presence of Jesus Christ who feeds us in Holy Communion.
- In Confirmation, we are united with the church and receive special strength from the Holy Spirit.
When one is confirmed, one is enriched by the gift of the Holy Spirit. You become more ingrained with the Church and you achieve full membership in the Catholic Church. Confirmation is the affirmation of your faith, signifying that you have accepted your faith and will continue to serve the Lord as a Catholic.
