In the face of death, the Church confidently proclaims that God has created each person for eternal life. As Christians, we rejoice in our belief that Jesus Christ, by his death and resurrection, has won this eternal life for us.
When a Christian dies, there is no greater source of comfort for those who mourn than to proclaim belief in the resurrection and to celebrate the life of the one who has died. The Funeral Liturgy leads our proclamation of faith and our celebration of life. In times of grief, they help us keep the words of Jesus in our minds and hearts:
When a loved one dies, the task of making arrangements for the funeral can seem overwhelming. The staff and volunteers of St Norbert Parish are here in your time of need. St Norbert has a compassionate Ministry of Bereavement. Once a funeral director has notified our church of a death, one of our Bereavement Ministers will contact you.
May the Lord bless you and keep you in his love and care,
– The Pastoral Staff of St. Norbert Parish
