Each weekend, it takes over 100 volunteers to ensure we have a spiritually fulfilling worship experience at St. Norbert Parish. Our volunteers bless us with their talents and time to ensure a faith-filled experience.
Follow is a brief description of the Liturgy Volunteer roles at St. Norbert Parish. Click on the role name for more information and to sign up for a Liturgy Ministry position.
Altar Servers: Students in grades 5 and older have the opportunity to enhance the worship experience for themselves and parishioners by assisting Father during Mass as an altar server.
Art & Environment Ministry: Decorates the church and grounds according to the liturgical calendar events and colors.
Children’s Liturgy of the Word: The children of the parish, kindergarten through grade 6, are invited take part in a special Liturgy of the Word for Children at 9:30 a.m. Sunday Masses. This program helps build the foundation for our children’s future faith life. Volunteers run this program.
Eucharistic Minister: These Minister help serve others the Body and Blood of Christ at Masses.
Lector: Proclaiming the Word with reverence is an important part of our Mass. Individuals with a gift for sharing the Word enhance the worship experience for our parishioners and guests.
Liturgy Committee: The mission of the Liturgy Committee is to strengthen the total prayer life of St. Norbert Parish Community by providing a welcoming and nurturing environment.
Music Ministry: Our choir music sets the tone for the mass with their beautiful voices. The music ministry is open to members of the parish, age eighteen. Our choir sings at the 11:30 am Sunday Mass, September through early June.
Usher: Ushers help people find a place to sit in the assembly, help answer questions, and pass the baskets at the time of the collection of gifts at weekend Masses
