The St. Norbert Parish Sharing Ministry mission is to help combat hunger in the North Shore Area through the weekly collection of food items.
At every mass, every weekend, the Sharing Ministry collects non-perishable food items before and after all Masses. Donations can be left in the designated baskets at all church doors. PLEASE help fill the baskets at church each week so that the pantry at St. Margaret of Scotland—along with those at Marillac House, Catholic Charities, and the Northfield Food Pantry—can help people in need.
Suggested non-perishable food donations include:
|Canned Fruits||Bisquick||Spaghetti Sauce||Canned Ravioli||Fruit Juices|
|Canned Vegetables||Pancake Mix||Canned Soups||Oatmeal||Cereals|

The time commitment is depends on the volunteer’s duties. Mass collections usually require only a ½ hour commitment. Time to sorting and distributing donations each week depends on the quantity of collections. Many hands however, minimize the workload!
How to Volunteer
Many hands are needed to help collect, separate and distribute the weekly donations. Volunteers help on the weekends to collect of offerings from each Mass, sorting donations and loading/driving donations to the various locations.
