The Buildings & Grounds Committee is charged with the responsibility of maintaining the integrity of the parish buildings, operational systems (heating and air conditioning), and grounds (parking, sidewalks and landscaping). They evaluate the general facility upkeep and repairs necessary to the parish buildings and grounds. Each year, the committee performs a walk-through of the grounds/ buildings and develops a list of maintenance projects for the parish staff to consider. They assess the landscaping, electrical, carpentry, plumbing, roofing, painting, etc. They also manage outside contractor bids if needed.
St. Norbert Parish has a long tradition of parishioners who have stepped forward and taken care of the needs of the parish. To keep costs down, we do as much work as possible with our skilled volunteers.
The Committee is comprised of six or more members from the Parish. This Committee also includes the Parish Director of Finance & Operations and the Pastor. Members are requested to serve a minimum 3 year term. Meetings are generally held quarterly but frequency varies based on projects.
