In addition to the religious environment, other distinct advantages include a low student-to-teacher ratio and an excellent curriculum, including computer, math, language arts, social studies, science, physical education, Spanish, art and music classes. Hot lunches and before and after school care are available for our students.

Religious Education for Children
St. Norbert Parish Religious Education provides formal instruction intended to specifically assist parents with the religious formation of their children. The task of our program is to proclaim and teach Christ’s message, to form faith community, to lead the children in worship and prayer, and encourage them to serve others. Classes are led by volunteer catechists from the parish who teach and share their faith with the help of an approved religious curriculum and a professional staff.
Religious Education classes are held on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Sunday evenings.

SPRED
SPRED (Special Religious Education) is an agency of the Archdiocese, which has designed a unique program for persons with developmental disabilities to help them know God and prepare for full participation in the sacramental life of the parish. With the support of the SPRED Agency, a parish welcomes these special people into a small faith community where they form friendships with people from the parish and grow together in faith. Each SPRED community focuses on a particular age grouping; at St. Norbert our group is 11-16 year old teens. Through the collaboration of neighboring parishes a person can continue in SPRED from 6 years old through adulthood. If you have a family member that could benefit from this wonderful program, or if you would be interested in becoming a SPRED catechist, our group would like to hear from you.

Children’s Liturgy of the Word
Children are invited to experience the Liturgy of the Word in a manner especially designed for them. Twice a month at the beginning of the 9:30 AM Mass they follow volunteer leaders to the Church Hall to celebrate the Liturgy of the Word in a way that is easy for children to understand. Music, readings and homilies are geared to the children in grades K through 6. Children return to their families in church for the Liturgy of the Eucharist.

R.C.I.A.
R.C.I.A. (The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) is a process by which participants are invited to learn about the Roman Catholic Church. This process is for non-baptized adults, those baptized in another Christian faith tradition and who now seek to live their faith as a Catholic (convert), and those already baptized Catholics who wish to complete their initiation through the reception of Confirmation and First Holy Communion.
