Many parish organizations are involved in extending the care and concern of the parish to members and other people of our greater community. The following five Ministries are linked directly to our prayer and worship, because they are the Spiritual and Corporal Works of Mercy which flow directly from and lead us back to our communal worship.
Ministry of Care
Ministers of Care are men and women mandated by our parish to make pastoral visits and bring Holy Communion to those parishioners who are confined to their homes, in a hospital or nursing home. They also bring the friendship, care and prayers of our local Christian community. Additional activities include an annual Anointing of the Sick Mass for parishioners, visitation on Ash Wednesday, Christmas and Easter times.

Bereavement Ministry
The members of this group offer comfort and support to parishioners who have experienced a death in the family, extending the concern of the parish throughout the bereavement process. They also provide assistance with the funeral liturgy. Each November they plan an annual Memorial Mass for deceased parishioners and loved ones of the parishioners who have died during the current year.

El Niño Rey - visit the organization's web site
The mission of El Niño Rey is to break the cycle of poverty for the children of Guerrero, Mexico by providing medical and educational assistance. It is our goal to create a faith-filled group of healthy young leaders who will return their educational blessings to their communities. El Niño Rey provides scholarship services to hundreds of children by providing school supplies, room, board and tuition to needy students. El Niño Rey also makes two weeklong dental missions with a team of dentists, hygienists and volunteers who operate a free mobile dental clinic in the remote villages of Quechultenango, Guerrero. Most of our patients are receiving dental care for the first time in their lives. El Niño Rey recently began a new facet of its mission known as Esperanza (Hope). Working with St. Norbert Women’s Guilds, Esperanza volunteers collect shipments of clothing for distribution throughout the communities of Guerrero. Through the generosity of our supporters, El Niño Rey annually provides scholarship services to over 500 students, dental services to nearly 1000 people and clothing to an untold number of children.
