St. Norbert School, a proud winner of a 2013 National Blue Ribbon School award, provides education for students from Preschool through 8th grade. The Blue Ribbon is awarded to a school by the United States Department of Education that has the highest standards of excellence. This is evidenced by student achievement measures and research-based indicators of school quality.
The St. Norbert School mission is to partner with parents to educate the whole child and to help students find God in all things through learning, faith and service. Students are challenged with a rigorous curriculum and teachers recognize and cherish each child as unique and attend to their individual needs.
Teachers are empowered to lead interactive classroom discussions about human values, spirituality, God and more. They open student’s young hearts and minds to ideas far beyond just textbooks. In order to encourage a lifelong love of learning, St. Norbert School places a strong emphasis on providing a challenging and engaging curriculum, which is carefully designed to form a continuum from early childhood through junior high and is based on the Archdiocese of Chicago Elementary School guidelines. We seek to guide students of diverse backgrounds towards the achievement of their potential by offering an excellent program of studies and extracurricular activities.
At St. Norbert, we strive to develop students who are capable, honest, and respectful, and who are prepared both academically and spiritually to be lifelong learners and leaders of tomorrow. Students stand at the center of school life and with every facet of the school, from curriculum design to technology and facilities, primary consideration is given to promoting student success.
