The Ministry of Bereavement at St. Norbert Parish offers emotional, psychological, social, spiritual, and practical support, to parishioners who have suffered the loss of a loved one. This ministry eases the burden of funeral planning, be it liturgy or a memorial service. Click on Funeral Planning for the St. Norbert Parish guidelines.
Once a funeral director has notified our church of a death, one of our Bereavement Ministers will contact you. For immediate assistance, please contact Tracy Nelson, Parish Office Secretary.
Ministry of Care Service
St. Norbert Parish Ministers of Care bring support and love to those who are sick, homebound, chronically ill, recovering from surgery, elderly, or experiencing a time of need. The goal of these Ministers is to bring to those in need the healing comfort of God by:
- Visiting these parishioners
- Bringing Holy Communion and Prayers
- Giving friendship, care and companionship
If you would like to request this ministry for yourself or someone else, please contact Parish Office or contact Mona Lukas, Director Minister of Care. A pastoral care minister can visit and bring Communion either on a temporary or long term basis.
Couples Pastoral Care Support
Some couples need help from time to time to sustain strong, fulfilling, and healthy relationships. Seeking help for your relationship is a sign of strength not weakness.
Couples or individuals looking for relationship enrichment and support can contact the Parish Office to request a call or meeting with a member of the Pastoral Care Staff or click here and complete the Couples Pastoral Care Request form.

Helping Hands Service
St. Norbert Parish’s Helping Hands Ministry serves members of our parish on a temporary basis during times of need or crisis. Services provided can include:
- Furnishing meals to newly discharged patients living alone.
- Transportation for the elderly, disabled or needy to mass, doctors or other appointments when family members are unavailable to help.
- Service for shut-ins; grocery shopping, picking up prescriptions, reading, visiting, etc.
- Housesitting during funerals
- Baking and assisting at parish events

Mass Intention Requests
Please visit the parish office to pick up a Mass card and arrange Mass Intention Requests. Requests cannot be made by e-mail. Call the Parish Office for more information.
Food, Financial Assistance and Resources
If you or someone you know is in need of food or other assistance please call the Parish Office.
Papal Blessing Requests
The Pope offers blessings for special occasions such as baptisms, confirmations, marriages, birthdays, and anniversaries. Papal blessings come in the form of printed certificates or parchment with the name(s) of the recipient(s) and the occasion inscribed on them. Many people treasure these certificates as important symbols of sacraments and other special occasions. A Papal Blessing is an extraordinary gift you can give yourself, a friend or family
To obtain a Papal Blessing, please visit the Parish Office to complete the required information. Please note, Papal blessings take up to three months to process, complete and deliver to the recipient.
Prayers requests can be placed in the Pray for List in the St. Norbert Parish Sunday Bulletin.
Call the Parish Office to have a parishioner added to the list. Their names will stay on the list until the parish is notified to remove it.
Parishioners or family members can request the name of a person with a serious condition placed on the weekend masses Oral Pray for List. Names will remain on the list for 4 weeks. Call the Parish Office or the Director of Ministry of Care to request to names to stay on the Oral Pray for List or to move to the bulletin Pray for List.
Prayers can also be requested from on line on the Our Catholic Prayers website. The Catholic Prayers website is a wonderful resource to help us to grow in love with God and with others.
