The St. Norbert Parish Senior Club provides social and spiritual interaction for adults in the parish, age 55 and above. The club meets monthly September through May. Meetings begin with a nutritious breakfast, prayer, and an educational or social program. Members are encouraged to bring spouses, friends and neighbors.
Education programs cover numerous topics: medical, pastoral, military, technology, banking, legal presentations and other topics of importance to seniors. The Club’s planning committee meets monthly to arrange programs of interest. One field trip is scheduled per year. Past trips have included Misericordia; a pilgrimage to the Grotto and Shrine of the Carmelite Monastery in Munster, Indiana; a daylong visit to St. John’s Church in Indiana; Covenant Village; and the Addolorata Villa Senior residence. An annual Christmas party meeting with music, food and a white elephant exchange occurs every December.
Meetings are held monthly in Grace Hall or at Our Lady of the Brook from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Meetings take place either the 2nd or the 3rd Monday of the month. A Senior Club Bulletin lists meetings, times and locations. Information can also be found in the Sunday Bulletin and the Weekly Parish Email Newsletter.
All Seniors 55 and older are invited to be members of the St. Norbert Senior Club.
