“Remember your leaders, those who spoke to you the word of God. Consider the outcome of their way of life, and imitate their faith.”
Hebrews 13:7
St. Norbert Parish is proud to support the Boy and Girls Scouts of America. The Parish conducts annual scout masses, coordinates scout religious emblem programs and promotes Diocesan Catholic scouting events. Our Parish also directly sponsors a Cub Scout Pack and Boy Scout Troop.
Read below for an overview on each of these great organizations and see how to join today!
Cub Scout Pack 266
Cub Scout Pack 266, chartered by St. Norbert Parish Men’s Club, is a program for boys in grades 1-5 that emphasizes the aims of Scouting—citizenship training, character development, and personal fitness. Boys are divided by grade into smaller groups called dens which meet weekly and then all the boys meet once a month at a pack meeting.
Activities include the annual Pinewood Derby, a Blue and Gold Banquet, and many outings. Boys work on their rank requirements as follows: 1st grade Tigers, 2nd grade Wolf, 3rd grade Bear, and 4th and 5th grade Webelos. After Webelos, boys transition into a Boy Scout troop of their choosing.
Contact Scoutmaster Marc Elberts 847-989-0303 for more information or to see how to join.
Boy Scouts Troop 64
The Boy Scouts of America are focused around teaching young men ages 11 through 18 the values and morals they need to become outstanding citizens in our community and nation.
Most Boy Scout Troops meet weekly in the evenings. The meetings usually cover skills training, leadership building, merit badges, rank advancement, and structured games. Troops normally plan monthly activities for Scouts to participate in, such as weekend camping trips, ski trips, a week of summer camp, a week of backpacking and much more.
